Thankful

In the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought I would make a list of all the things I am thankful for. I did this last year on our family blog too.

The most important things:

-My BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY (for the most part, we have colds) KIDS-this one has become even more important after the year we have had with our little guy. They seriously amaze me and crack me up EVERY single day!
-My husband-he works so hard for us and does everything he can to make sure his family is happy and taken care of.
-Great family
-My own health-the fact that I am able to run. Keep up with my kids. Do everyday things. After
being on bed rest with babies I have realized how great it is to be able to do THINGS.
-A savior and Heavenly Father who I am thankful know what is best for me, way more than I do.
-Friends who are amazing and loyal.
-My Mom-who continues to amaze me by doing almost anything for her daughter and Grandchildren.
-A great ward and neighborhood. I have so many great people surrounding me and my family.
-To live in a country that is so blessed and all those who fight to keep it that way!
-That my husband has a stable job that supports our family and makes it possible to help others.
-A Prophet that leads and guides our church. And all of the leaders that help keep us on the right path.

I once heard someone say something along the lines of ,

"Give thanks for EVERTYHING you have as if it would be gone tomorrow if you didn't".
So in the spirit of that comment comes....................................
The rest:

-A great neighbor who motivated me to do a marathon next year. She put our ragnar team together and gives me tips on everything "running" related.
-Books. More specifically, The non-runners Marathon Trainer and Down Came the Rain. Great books!
-My new mattress. I finally wake up without back pain. Wow I thought that only happened to old people.
-The fact that I still have 15 months left of my 20's.
-My WONDERFUL camera. Thanks again Dad!
-People letting me take pictures of their cute families.
-Photoshop
-My new computer =)
-My Tv shows. Especially Greys, The Office, and Survivor. And a few others =)
-Ebay! I love selling and buying on there.
-Airbrush tanning
-All the girly things: perfume, lotion, make-up, shampoo and conditioner, and all that jazz.
-My Flat Iron, there wouldn't be much point in existing without it =)
-Clothing
-Shoes. Especially good Running shoes. Thank you Striders!
-Doctors. And of course Pharmacists too!(Love ya Babe!)
-Fall. By far my favorite season
-My awesome Mini Van! I think there are about 5 families in my ward with the same one, color and all =)
-I am thankful that my van has a remote door opener so that I don't try to break in to the 5 other vans at church trying to find mine.
-Food. I really like it!
-The blogging world and Facebook. Its fun!
-Email
-Cellphone
-My house

And.........Everything Else =) (thats kind of cheating, I know)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

My name is Michelle and I am a Hermit

I think I suffer from a mild case of hermitness (another example of a "Michelle" word).

Maybe a better term would be HOMEBODY.
Or while I am making up words, maybe a mixture of the two.

Hermitbody, Home-it.

Anyway...

I end up spending most of my days in my house. There are an array of reasons....

1. It's too blasted hot in the summer.

2. It's too blasted cold in the winter.

3. Utah only has those two seasons.

4. I am spray tanning later that day and I cant be seen in natural light all pasty white.

5. I really like TV. So at night I am usually doing that.

6. I like to digi scrap. Its easier to use the computer inside.

7. I like sewing. Again it's easier to sew when you have an outlet by a table.

8. It's easier to keep track of my kids when there are walls surrounding them.

I decided this needs to change. And I realized this the other month when I had the following experience:

A few months ago we were driving home from a family thing or something. It was probably 10 at night. Kennedy says with curiosity, confusion, surprise, wonderment, amazement in her voice,
"Mommy! The sky is DARK!"

I am thinking"Ummm ya"

Then I realized that she has never been outside at night. This was such a new amazing thing that the world had to offer. Such a mystery to her. We had a discussion about how the sun needed to go to sleep just like we needed to go to sleep. And she understood that.

My poor poor children. I don't take them outside at night. They had no idea that the sun goes down. I hoped they knew about leaves , grass, wind, .....

This Fall we tried to get out a little more. And it was wonderful!

My resolution this next year is to not be a hermitbody or whatever =)
I hope I haven't damaged my children too much already.

And here we go again....

Potty Training!

I do not like it.

But I know it will be nice to have it done.

I will be MIA the next 3 days.

I hope I survive.
